In 2022, Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings realised the new factory for Exail Robotics in the port of Ostend.
The North Sea ports are an important industrial complex, with Exail Robotics' drone factory in the port of Ostend being a prime example. This factory, built by Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings on the site of a former shipyard, specialises in the development and production of underwater drones for both civilian and military applications.
In this realisation, the Design & Build construction formula was applied.
In such a project, close cooperation with the client, the architect and Willy Naessens Industrial Buildings is established from the early stages onwards. Because the design and construction phases overlap, a synergy is created. This results in a smooth execution of the works.
