Willy Naessens Group invests in the East Flemish family startup KWANTZ, which, with its ultra-strong concrete, is launching a unique concrete product developed at UGent. KWANTZ creates a new type of stone that is traded identically as marble, composite and ceramics, with interior applications such as kitchens, bathrooms, stair and floor coverings. "I firmly believe in this project and the enthusiastic entrepreneurs team behind KWANTZ," says Willy Naessens.
With the capital injection, the family company KWANTZ, until recently Dils & Mander, can produce its ultra-strong concrete on an industrial scale. "Our concrete is the result of five years of research at the engineering and architecture faculty of Ugent," says manager Jeroen Dils, who further perfected the product for three years. “This resulted in a new type of concrete that has improved properties and makes slimmer design possible. Sustainability, high sturdiness and wide range of applications are our banners. Moreover, the thin sheet material is natural and smooth, which means that the loss of space indoors is minimal. In a future where we will all start to live smaller, that is a huge asset. ”
Willy Naessens herself is convinced. "The combination of two young entrepreneurs with our experience will give fireworks," says Willy. “Everything starts with passion and the desire to do business. I see those two things coming up with Jeroen and Steffi. The combination of their unique concrete with our experience guarantees a great story. In any case, I strongly believe in this. "
