In Geraardsbergen, the construction of Concreton's expansion is nearing completion. In April, Willy Naessens Infra started the groundworks.

The expansion of Concreton started in April 2022. The groundworks were then started by Willy Naessens Infra. Meanwhile, the works are coming to an end.

The expansion of Concreton accounts for over 8,000 m², as a result of which Concreton's covered hall will be just under 25,000 m² in total. Thanks to the extension and including storage space, the total surface area of Concreton will be more than 42,000 m². Underneath the building, a tunnel to the storage courtyard is planned so as not to impede traffic.

In the new halls, there will be machines for cutting bars, folding stirrups and will weld reinforcement baskets. This will make the process more automated and optimised and will at least double the capacity in terms of iron processing. Thanks to this investment, residual waste can be reduced to a minimum. All in all, the investment amounts to around 10 million euros.
